Barry Lehmann for close on 20 years.
The business consists of grain
storage and handling facilities,
buying, selling and cleaning a variety of grains.
This business is located at Kimba on
Eyre Peninsula, considered to be
South Australia's largest grain
producing district. Kimba is ideally
situated for a business of this
nature, with road train access from
all directions and access to grain
from all over Eyre Peninsula and is
the closest Eyre Peninsula town to
Adelaide and eastern markets.
The business has consistently
provided a unique service to
farmer’s right across Eyre Peninsula
and is considered to be the largest
private trader business of its type
on the Eyre Peninsula. Lehmann
Contractors buy and on sell a range
of both feed and quality grains and
have created a network of both niche
markets and long term buyers
throughout South Australia.
The storage facilities consist of
4 x 50 tonne cone wheat cells, 19 x
82 tonne cone wheat cells. In
addition the 80' x 30' shed has a
2metre steel lining with a capacity
to store approximately 550 tonne of
wheat. This provides a 2308 tonne
storage facility.

for PentAg Commodities Pty Ltd
PentAg Commodities provide services
throughout Qld and NSW ranging from
rural producers to large worldwide
corporations. Market deregulation is
allowing greater prospects for
company growth using its extensive
export contacts. Ian Sampson is one
of the directors and shareholders
and is from Warramboo on the Eyre
Peninsula. Chairman and managing
director, Rob Brealey has 30 years
experience with major companies in
Ag commodity trading. PentAg aims to
continue to grow and broaden its
clientele, but will always remain
loyal to the rural producers, who
ultimately are the most important
people to this organisation.
